Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Embedded Linux Engineer to join our talented development team. As an essential member, you will be working directly with engineers at Linaro member and customer companies on software development, support, training, and custom engineering projects.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for open-source software development, specifically in the Arm ecosystem. You will be responsible for contributing to various technically challenging projects, developing new skills, and providing first-line software engineering support to member engineers and customers within assigned areas of competence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development of innovative software solutions for Arm-based devices.
  • Collaborate with other teams in Linaro and upstream developers to advance the state-of-the-art in open-source software.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers, ensuring their success in delivering high-quality projects.
  • Help develop and deliver our technical training program, enabling others to grow in their roles.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • A strong background in embedded Linux development, with experience writing device drivers for Arm-based devices.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to work effectively in a globally distributed team.
  • Familiarity with open-source development tools and methodologies, as well as secure boot systems and Trusted Platform Modules (TPMs).

Optional (but Valued) Skills and Experience:

  • Experience working with Android/AOSP systems, especially the HAL layers.
  • Knowledge of Zephyr, OP-TEE, u-boot, or Trusted Firmware.
  • Ability to submit code to upstream projects and open-source communities.

Compensation

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
