Veterinary Surgeon
We are seeking a highly skilled Veterinary Surgeon to join our client's team and contribute to the advancement of animal health and welfare. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented veterinarian to develop their expertise in laboratory animal science and related disciplines.

About the Role:
The successful candidate will work closely with the named veterinary surgeon(s) to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines. This will involve providing veterinary cover for animal units and clinical services at the facilities, supporting the implementation of new techniques, procedures, and technologies to enhance animal care and welfare, and engaging with stakeholders to promote a culture of care and professionalism within the company.

Requirements:
  • Veterinary degree with professional registration with the RCVS.
  • Experience in general practice or laboratory animal care, including surgical skills.
  • Auditing or inspection experience is advantageous.
  • Strong commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with teams.
  • Proficiency in surgical procedures and anaesthesia.
  • Interest or experience in animal ethics, welfare science, genetics, or related disciplines is desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment and adapt to evolving challenges.

Estimated salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum.
