About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Manager to join our team at JCA Engineering. As a key member of our Construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, health, and environmental well-being of our employees, contractors, and clients on our sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective HSE strategies and policies to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide guidance and training to employees and contractors on HSE procedures and best practices.
  • Collaborate with project managers and site teams to ensure HSE considerations are integrated into project planning and execution.
  • Investigate incidents and near-misses, and implement measures to prevent recurrence.
  • Develop and maintain HSE documentation, including risk assessments, method statements, and safety procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, including ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory bodies and industry stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Technical Member of IOSH (Tech IOSH) or equivalent.
  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent.
  • Emergency First Aid certification.
  • CSCS Card.
  • Strong knowledge of HSE legislation and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
