Adult Mental Health Consultant Psychiatrist

We are seeking an experienced Adult Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at the North East London NHS Foundation Trust, based at Barking Community Hospital in Essex. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team providing care to adult patients with mental health needs in West Barking and Dagenham.
About the RoleAs an Adult Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for working as part of a dynamic team to provide senior medical support and guidance to our staff. You will also work directly with adults and their families, liaising as appropriate with other external adult mental health providers and acute hospitals. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide care to adult patients with mental health needs.
- Provide senior medical support and guidance to the team.
- Work directly with adults and their families, liaising as appropriate with other external adult mental health providers and acute hospitals.
- Participate in the on-call rota, which currently has a frequency of 1:50 with a 3% basic salary Category A on-call supplement.
- Support your peers and team leader, and be an effective team member while allowing them to work with their own initiative.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Full GMC registration with a licence to practice.
- CCT or equivalent qualification.
- Section 12 Approval or eligibility for it.
- Approved Clinician status, or eligibility for it.
- Inclusion in, or eligibility for inclusion in the Specialist Register or within 6 months of obtaining CCST.

The estimated salary range for this role is £105,504.00 - £139,882.00 per annum (Pro-rata). This figure is based on national averages and may vary depending on individual circumstances.
