Job Title: Homecare Provider

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Homecare Provider to join our team. The successful candidate will provide exceptional support to a female client with complex medical needs in Aspatria, Wigton, focusing on promoting independence and enhancing quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Airway Management & Tracheostomy Care: Assist with maintaining a safe airway, including tracheostomy care and management, ensuring proper ventilation and comfort.
  • PEG Care (Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy): Administer nutrition, hydration, and medications via PEG tube.
  • Vital Sign Monitoring: Regularly check and document vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, oxygen saturation, and overall health status.
  • Moving and Handling: Support the client with safe moving and handling techniques, helping maintain her mobility and independence.
  • Physiotherapy Support: Assist with passive movements and stretches as part of a physiotherapy regimen.
  • Medication Management: Administer prescribed medications, including nebulised treatments.
  • Personal Care: Provide sensitive and respectful assistance with personal care, including hygiene, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
  • Social and Activity Support: Enable the client to engage in chosen activities both at home and in the community.
  • Appointment Support: Accompany the client to medical and personal appointments.
  • Emotional & Psychological Support: Offer empathetic and sensitive emotional support.

Requirements:

Mandatory:

  • Female applicants only.
  • Strong moving and handling skills.
  • Understanding of physiotherapy techniques.
  • Compassionate and patient approach.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Flexibility to accompany the client to activities and appointments.
  • A calm, professional manner.
