Contract: Full time/Perm
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our team at HMP Wayland, a Category C adult, male prison. As an Escort/Handyperson, you will play a vital role in maintaining the smooth and safe operation of the prison.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the maintenance and repair of prison facilities
- Provide escort services for prisoners and staff
- Work collaboratively with other teams to ensure the effective operation of the prison
- Contribute to the creation of a safe and secure environment for all
Requirements:
- Experience of working in a prison environment or a similar setting
- Ability to use hand and power tools
- Previous experience of working within a building fabric/Hard FM environment
- Up-to-date First Aid at Work qualification
- Level 2 qualification in English and Maths
- Good Health and Safety knowledge
- Excellent organisational, time management, and people skills
