About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Area Manager to join our team at Leek Building Society. As a key member of our Branch Network, you will be responsible for leading a team of professionals to deliver exceptional customer service and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of customer-facing staff to provide excellent service and achieve sales targets.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Manage branch resources, including staff, budget, and operations, to ensure efficient delivery of services.
  • Embed a risk culture and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including local community groups and charities.
  • Contribute to overall branch network objectives and projects, including championing specific initiatives.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in financial services.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of financial services and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours.
