We are seeking a seasoned Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager to spearhead our EHS initiatives and ensure a safe and sustainable work environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive EHS policies and procedures, conducting risk assessments, and leading internal and external audits to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain EHS policies and procedures aligned with UK legislation and company standards.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement preventive measures.
- Lead internal audits and prepare for external audits to ensure compliance with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and other relevant standards.
- Manage emergency response plans and procedures, including training staff on emergency preparedness.
- Analyze accident and incident reports to identify patterns and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Liaise with regulatory agencies and other external stakeholders to ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Develop and deliver EHS training programs to foster a culture of safety and awareness throughout the organization.
- Oversee the management of hazardous materials, including waste disposal and recycling programs.
- Prepare and manage the EHS budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to support EHS initiatives.
- Provide leadership and direction to the EHS team, setting objectives, and evaluating performance.
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health, or related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification relevant to the UK.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in EHS management.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a manufacturing setting (cleanroom manufacturing is preferred).
- Comprehensive knowledge of UK environmental, health, and safety legislation.
- Experience and knowledge of EHS management systems such as ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
- Proven track record of improving EHS performance and culture in a manufacturing setting.
- Demonstrated leadership and teamwork collaboration in professional settings.
- Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent computer and information technology skills, including MS Office applications, MS SharePoint, Box, or similar applications.
