Mathematics Professor

We are seeking an exceptional Mathematics Professor to join Teacheroo from January 2025. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Mathematics up to A-level/Advanced Higher and must be registered, or eligible to be registered, with GTC Scotland.

Glenalmond College is a fully co-educational boarding and day school, set in the stunning Perthshire countryside. The Mathematics Department at Glenalmond has a high profile in the school, with a passion for encouraging pupils to reach their full potential. The department aims to bring the subjects to life beyond the classroom, with several competitions and extra-curricular activities run by members of the team.

• Teach an academic timetable as stipulated by the examination boards.
• Monitor pupil attendance and academic performance.
• Take responsibility for all aspects of teaching and learning in Mathematics within and beyond the curriculum.
• Ensure all pupils are motivated and given opportunities to develop their creative talents in a positive, innovative, and effective working environment.
• Manage departmental documentation securely and ensure it is available for inspection when required.
• Assist with evening duties in a boarding house, normally one evening per week.

• A proven track record of excellence in the delivery of Mathematics.
• A qualified teacher of Mathematics with a passion for the subject.
• Excellent planning and organisational skills.

• The ability to represent the school to parents, external agencies, and professional bodies.
