Job Description

As an Associate Project Manager at AECOM, you will be responsible for leading medium to large-sized projects with minimal support, while providing line management support to team members. You will work as part of an integrated team on a significant component of a large complex project, led by a Director.

The role will cover the entire project lifecycle, from initial inception and business case development, through design, procurement, site delivery, commissioning, and defects management. You will be responsible for leading project management commissions, undertaking line management and supervisory responsibilities, and leading internal AECOM project team meetings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead project management commissions and ensure their successful delivery
  • Undertake line management and supervisory responsibilities, supporting and motivating team members
  • Lead internal AECOM project team meetings and coordinate the project team
  • Manage project finances, resourcing, audits, and reviews
  • Formulate fee proposals and support project managers through their professional chartership
  • Active involvement in recruitment and retention activities

Requirements:

  • Professional qualification in project management, construction, engineering, or quantity surveying
  • Chartered status with RICS, CIOB, RIBA, ICE, or equivalent institution
  • Proven experience in the Life Science, Tertiary Education, or Defence construction sectors
  • Knowledge and experience of the Life Science and Tertiary Education sector, including current issues and business drivers
  • Excellent understanding of construction contracts and the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015
