We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Risk Consultant, Energy to join our team at AXA XL. This role will involve executing the risk consulting strategy for the upstream energy team, aiming to optimize value-added support to the risk carrier and risk consulting services to clients.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in petroleum engineering, mechanical engineering, or chemical/process engineering, with significant experience in drilling, development (onshore and offshore), production operations, construction, and offshore renewables. A proven track record of working on projects and technologies involving hydrogen, carbon capture & storage, geothermal energy, or similar would be beneficial.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional looking to take their career to the next level. As a Senior Risk Consultant, you will be responsible for providing oil and gas, drilling, and exploration specific risk reviews for underwriting through 3rd party information review, client and broker meetings, as well as claims reviews.

In this role, you will work closely with the engineering team supporting the broad energy transition portfolio of AXA XL, including carbon capture and other new technologies. You will also meet with underwriters, brokers, and clients of the energy industry to discuss specific risk consulting solutions, helping clients to improve their risks while working towards a reduction of their carbon emissions.

Requirements:

  • MEng in petroleum engineering, mechanical engineering, or chemical/process engineering
  • Significant experience in drilling, development (onshore and offshore), production operations, construction, and offshore renewables
  • Experience with projects and technologies involving hydrogen, carbon capture & storage, geothermal energy, or similar
