Financial Analyst – Garage Operations

About the RoleThe primary purpose of this role is to deliver financial income from the Rebate and Contributions (R&Cs) Programme. We operate complex R&C deals with suppliers and are adopting modern dedicated Rebate Management software to administer and calculate earnings.
The secondary purpose is to support the buying team by reviewing cost prices through changes in raw materials. We use a software solution to monitor changes, and this role will ensure all insight is maximised and opportunities regularly reviewed.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Commercial Team in optimising earnings and developing new earning streams within the R&C Programme.
- Contribute to wider cost reduction strategies and business plans aligned with Halfords Group objectives.
- Provide commercial insight as a key advisory role to the buying team, supporting the development and maintenance of value chain tools and processes.
- Work cross-functionally to translate moderate to complex business needs into required deliverables.
- Develop reports, dashboards, and Analytics deliverables using Excel and other tools to meet commercial needs.
- Able to bring insights to Management Information for strong negotiation scenarios.
- Significant experience with Retrospective Rebate and Contribution programmes with GFR Suppliers.
- Strong relationship building and influencing skills.
- Able to facilitate workshops and meetings for training others.
- Reporting and analysis skills.
$80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
