About the Role

Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team in providing high-quality, specialist end-of-life care to patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify life roles and activities that are meaningful to patients and plan care to address barriers to perform these activities.
  • Work closely with the multi-disciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans that promote independence and quality of life.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and provide evidence-based interventions to address physical, emotional, and social needs.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and coordination.
Requirements
  • Highly specialist knowledge and application of therapy assessments and interventions using complex level clinical reasoning.
  • Experience of evidence-based practice and outcome measures.
  • Motivational skills and goal setting for personalized care.
  • Ability to work autonomously and set own and others' priorities.
  • Excellent advanced communication skills.
  • Evidence of relevant postgraduate courses.
Qualifications and Registration
  • Diploma/BSC (Hons) in Occupational Therapy (OT).
  • Registered with the Health and Care Professionals Council.
