Job Overview

Bennett & Game Recruitment LTD seeks an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join their team in Worcester. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical systems, with the ability to work on rotational test equipment and supporting services.

Main Responsibilities
  • Build, service, and install DSG products and other manufacturer's items
  • Refurbish returned equipment, such as dynamometers and test rigs
  • Install new and reconditioned equipment at customer sites
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Previous experience with dynamometer service or similar rotating machinery
  • Understanding of engine testing theory
  • Knowledge of oil injection principles
  • Hydraulic and pneumatic system comprehension
  • Experience using hydraulic jacks
  • Proficiency in machine tools (lathe, drill)
  • Microsoft Office application skills
  • Detailed inspection and quality control
  • Attention to detail, confidentiality, reporting, numeracy, and excellent communication
  • Able to use measuring equipment and read complex technical drawings
  • Apprentice-trained or equivalent education level
  • Workshop and site experience
  • Teamwork and solo working ability
  • Imperial and Metric size understanding
  • Full driving license
  • Machining, welding, and fabrication knowledge
Benefits
  • £26,000.00-£32,500.00 per year
  • The role is based in Worcester but includes site work and occasional overseas travel
  • 40 hours minimum across 5 days
  • Monday to Thursday: 07:30-16:30, with 30 minutes for lunch, and Friday: 07:30-13:30
  • Free onsite parking
  • 8% company pension contribution
  • 33 Days Annual Leave, inclusive of Bank Holidays (on completion of probationary period)
  • Sick Pay (on completion of probationary period)
