Job Title: 2nd Line Support Engineer

Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide advanced technical support to clients across various industries, both remotely and onsite.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex issues related to Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive.
  • Support, configure, and manage Microsoft Azure environments, including virtual machines, Azure Active Directory, networking, and more.
  • Administer and troubleshoot virtualization platforms, such as Hyper-V and VMware.
  • Collaborate with the 1st Line team, escalating more challenging issues and ensuring prompt resolution.
  • Perform software updates, patches, and system maintenance to optimize client environments.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of client configurations and support tickets.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of IT projects, including cloud migrations and system upgrades.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on IT best practices to clients.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a 2nd Line IT Support role or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Azure administration, including managing virtual machines, storage, and networking.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies, such as Hyper-V and VMware.
  • Solid understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy, and Windows Server environments.
  • Familiarity with networking fundamentals, including DNS, DHCP, VPN, and firewalls.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with a focus on delivering timely solutions.
  • Strong customer service orientation and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple support requests.

Desirable Skills:

  • Microsoft certifications, such as MS-100, AZ-104, and AZ-500.
  • Experience with scripting or automation, such as PowerShell.
  • Familiarity with backup solutions and disaster recovery.
  • Knowledge of ITIL framework and best practices.
