Job Opportunity for a Skilled Mechanical Fitter

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team at Chart Industries. The successful candidate will support the Field Service Team in installing and commissioning LNG stations within the UK. Additionally, they will be responsible for mechanical repair, service, and overhaul of rotating plant at our Chesterfield Service Centre, with occasional travel to customer sites in the UK and worldwide.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure adherence to company environmental, health, and safety standards in compliance with company policies to maintain a safe working environment and minimize environmental impact.
  • Strict adherence to Health and Safety JSA's and risk assessments, following Howden and customer Health and Safety policies.
  • Participate in all activities related to the routine service, repair, overhaul, and installation of rotating equipment in compliance with company standards and requirements.
  • Communicate with project managers, workshop staff, and clients to control activities and provide technical support relevant to service, repair, overhaul, and installation.
  • Prepare and issue all documentation related to processing activities, including daily reports, visit reports, communications, time-sheets, and associated documents.
  • Perform analysis of machinery and provide condition reports to drive additional business through service upgrades and spare parts requirements.
  • Interact and respond to all aspects of the business, supporting SHE, efficiency, delivery, and quality improvements.
Requirements
  • Recognized engineering apprenticeship.
  • Level 3 Qualification in Mechanical Engineering or relevant experience.
  • Hands-on experience working in a mechanical/industrial environment.
  • Time management skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to self-manage.
  • Full clean driving license.
  • Willingness to travel within the UK and occasionally worldwide.
