Job DescriptionThe Fleet Investment Manager - Capital Expert will be responsible for:
- Ensuring vehicles meet operational requirements, safety standards, and considerations for vulnerable road users.
- Overseeing capital refurbishment activities for fleet assets using both internal and external resources.
- Developing plans for future vehicle replacements based on funding availability.
- Supporting additional capital projects, alternative fuelling needs, and vehicle innovation.
- Collaborating with relevant departments to replace commercial vehicles in line with company policies and support the transition to alternative fuel vehicles.
- Planning and coordinating critical asset investment projects to ensure compliance with maintenance policies, safety standards, and technical requirements.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Previous experience in a project engineering role, demonstrating discipline and theory in managing complex projects within a relevant industry (e.g., process/chemical manufacturing, automotive manufacturing).
- Experience in finance management, particularly with capital programs, and proficiency with financial software and reporting.
- Competency in risk assessment and the generation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Effective time management and prioritization skills to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
- Proficiency with all Microsoft office applications and systems relevant to fleet management.
- A full valid UK driving licence is required (with no more than 6 points).
