About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Scientist – Formulations to join our team. As a key member of our formulations group, you will be responsible for developing novel nanoparticle formulations for mRNA pharmaceuticals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop nanoparticle formulations for novel mRNA pharmaceuticals
  • Design study plans to optimize formulations for given RNA constructs and therapeutic intervention
  • Develop novel nanoparticle manufacturing technologies for in-house application and transfer to external (GMP) facilities
  • Closely interact with other teams, e.g., RNA synthesis, Biology, and Analytics within the NeoVac
  • Prepare documents and reports to management and internal and external partners
  • Assure high-quality standards of experimental research and development work in the laboratory

Requirements

  • PhD in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biology, Physics, or related with a focus on Bio- / Nano-materials
  • Profound scientific expertise from own research in nanoparticle technology, colloidal sciences, pharmaceutical technology, or related fields
  • Practical experience in nanoparticle assembly & characterization, preferably lipid- or polymer-based nanoparticles
  • Sound understanding of biophysical and physicochemical characterization techniques such as DLS, SAXS, DSC, NMR, LC-MS, HPLC, TEM, etc.
  • 1-2 years of relevant industry experience would be advantageous
