Receptionist II

We are seeking a highly skilled and professional Receptionist to play a crucial role in creating a positive impression for our clients and visitors at Thermo Fisher Scientific. As the first point of contact, you will be responsible for ensuring a seamless and efficient experience for all who interact with our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Security and Emergency Preparedness: Conduct routine security checks to ensure all entry points are secure and alarms are functioning, and maintain emergency kits to ensure readiness in case of emergencies.
- Waste Management and Sustainability: Oversee recycling programs and ensure compliance with waste disposal regulations, and propose and implement environmentally friendly practices within the office.
- Health and Safety: Maintain first aid supplies, ensure staff are trained in basic first aid procedures, conduct regular safety inspections, and ensure adherence to health and safety regulations.
- Equipment Management and Data Security: Maintain and troubleshoot audiovisual equipment, implement and enforce data security protocols to protect sensitive information, and coordinate wellness programs and activities to promote employee well-being.
- Continuous Improvement: Gather feedback from employees and visitors to improve service delivery, document standard operating procedures, participate in training sessions, and represent the organization positively in community events or initiatives.
By expanding the role to include these responsibilities, the receptionist/facilities admin not only enhances operational efficiency and employee happiness but also contributes to broader interpersonal goals such as sustainability, safety, and community engagement. These additions can further professionalize the role and provide opportunities for growth and development within the organization.
