We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join our team at Lloyd & Cowan Veterinary Recruitment. This role is based in Burscough, West Lancashire, providing an ideal location for those living in Preston and Liverpool.

Role Overview

This position offers a unique opportunity to work with a supportive team, enjoy a balanced schedule, and develop in a practice that values continuous improvement and quality care.

Your Schedule:
  • 35-40 hours per week with flexible shifts (3 or 4 midweek days)
  • Weekday hours: 8:30 am - 7:30 pm
  • 1 in 4 weekends (Sat 9:00 am - 4:00 pm, Sun 10:00 am - 4:00 pm)
  • No OOH duties, with coverage provided by a nearby 24-hour hospital
  • 20-minute consults, blocked surgery time, and regular breaks

  • A competitive salary of £42,000-£62,000 per annum, based on experience
  • 33 days holiday, plus paid breaks during shifts
