Chiller Operative Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Chiller Operative to join our team at Greencore Group Ltd. in Wisbech. As a Chiller Operative, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our factory, maintaining high standards of quality and safety, and contributing to the success of our business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and maintain the work area to ensure a safe and clean environment, adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient product changeovers, minimal downtime, and accurate labeling and packaging.
  • Liaise with Line Leaders and engineers to report any issues or concerns, providing clear and concise information.
  • Adhere to 'World Class' standards at all times, maintaining a high level of quality and safety.
  • Ensure all daily machine safety checks are completed, and PPM schedules are followed.
  • Monitor and record packs per minute (PPM) on machines, ensuring products are not overweight or underweight.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience with SOPs and working in a food factory (ideally salads) is essential.
  • Good level of English and Maths is required.
  • Basic understanding of Health & Safety and Food Hygiene is necessary.
  • Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team.
