Technical API Designer

We are seeking a skilled Technical API Designer to join our Enterprise Integration team at Aviva. As a Technical API Designer, you will be responsible for creating innovative API designs, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality APIs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop APIs that meet business requirements and technical standards
  • Collaborate with Domain Architects, Designers, and Developers to ensure API designs align with business models and resource standards
  • Identify gaps in API standards and data models, and manage their delivery
  • Work in a Scrum/Agile team to deliver high-quality APIs

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of REST, JSON, and API Design Standards and Layered Architecture principles
  • Experience with software modeling and component design
  • Data modeling concepts, including logical and physical modeling and gap analysis
  • Microservice architecture and database design to support this methodology
  • Technical experience in relevant technology stacks, such as Java, EKS, and AWS
