Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Materials Testing Technician to join our team in Manchester. As a key member of our Global Testing organisation, you will be responsible for performing a range of testing tasks, including corrosion, metals, and materials testing. You will also be responsible for maintaining and setting up laboratory equipment, working to testing standards like ISO 17025, communicating requirements to the Project Manager, and assisting in implementing identified actions.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with industrial experience working in materials, manufacturing, or chemical/engineering laboratories, with prior testing, equipment maintenance, and testing standards experience. You will work as part of our team in Manchester, contributing to our mission to deliver high-quality testing services to our clients.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform corrosion, metals, and materials testing.
  • Maintain and set up laboratory equipment ensuring safe working order.
  • Work to testing standards like ISO 17025.
  • Communicate requirements to the Project Manager.
  • Assist in implementing identified actions.
  • Lab housekeeping.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous industrial experience in testing facilities, materials, oil & gas, heavy manufacturing, or chemical.
  • Materials science or metallurgy experience beneficial.
  • Laboratory safety procedures understanding and chemical handling experience.
