Salary and BenefitsWe offer a competitive salary range of £46,000 - £54,000 per annum, reflecting your expertise and experience. In addition to a starting salary within this range, you will also be eligible for:

As an Energy Transition Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of Connection Reform and the Connections Action Plan within National Grid Electricity Transmission. Your key duties will include:
- Programme Management: Lead planning, execution, and monitoring of assigned programmes and projects, aligning with overall objectives and strategic aims defined by senior leadership.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including Subject Matter Experts, project teams, and senior management, and collaborate with external partners to drive programme objectives.
- Risk Management: Identify and assess risks associated with programme delivery, developing mitigation strategies to minimise potential impact.
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Establish robust performance monitoring mechanisms to track progress, milestones, and KPIs for programmes under your responsibility.
To succeed in this challenging role, you will need:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Business, Project Management)
- Proven experience as a Project or Programme Manager in a regulated industry, preferably in the energy or utilities sector
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage stakeholders, and drive successful programme delivery
