Job Title: Learning Mentor

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Learning Mentor to join our team at Newton Hill Community School. As a Learning Mentor, you will play a pivotal role in supporting pupils who may need help in overcoming barriers to learning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with children, teachers, and senior leadership to provide support and address the needs of pupils.
  • Manage and analyze attendance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Act as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, working in partnership with a team of DSLs to ensure the safeguarding of all children and young people.
Requirements:
  • Experience of supporting pupils in school, increasing and monitoring attendance, and dealing with sensitive safeguarding cases.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and leadership abilities.
  • A sound understanding of safeguarding practices within school.
  • Professional, reliable, and able to maintain confidentiality.
