We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Learning Mentor to join our team at Newton Hill Community School. As a Learning Mentor, you will play a pivotal role in supporting pupils who may need help in overcoming barriers to learning.
Key Responsibilities:- Work closely with children, teachers, and senior leadership to provide support and address the needs of pupils.
- Manage and analyze attendance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Act as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, working in partnership with a team of DSLs to ensure the safeguarding of all children and young people.
- Experience of supporting pupils in school, increasing and monitoring attendance, and dealing with sensitive safeguarding cases.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and leadership abilities.
- A sound understanding of safeguarding practices within school.
- Professional, reliable, and able to maintain confidentiality.
- A great working environment with a dedicated and hard-working staff team and supportive governing body.
- Professional growth and development opportunities, including excellent CPD.
- Employee wellbeing initiatives, including mental health first aiders and a private medical insurance scheme.
