Job Title: Credit Controller

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Credit Controller to join our Finance Team in Nottingham. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing the credit and sales ledger, ensuring timely payment from customers, and maintaining accurate financial records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with customers to resolve outstanding invoice payments and queries.
  • Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Assess and open new customer accounts within credit control guidelines.
  • Produce regular reports for the Finance Manager.
  • Interface invoices and credits between ERP and finance systems.
  • Monitor and input e-commerce transactions.
  • Support in checking outgoing sales invoices for errors.
  • Contribute to month-end procedures and ledger management.
  • Allocate cash receipts to invoices and credits on sales ledger accounts.
Requirements:

We are looking for a candidate with experience in a finance-related role, preferably in an SME environment. Strong MS Excel skills and experience with accounting or finance software are essential. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and organizational skills.

What We Offer:

This role offers a competitive salary, 25 days' holiday, pension, and other benefits. The successful candidate will work 37.5 hours per week, with 3 days in the office and 2 days from home. We may require more office attendance during the training/induction phase.
