About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in the Maidstone area. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students' educational development and helping them to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to students with special educational needs, including personalized learning activities and small group sessions.
  • Work closely with teachers to create a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment, helping to prepare and organize materials and resources.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students, promoting their well-being and safeguarding.
  • Assist in managing student behavior and promoting positive social interactions.
  • Help assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents/carers.
Requirements
  • Experience working with SEN children, preferably in a teaching assistant role.
  • A genuine passion for fostering a love of learning in students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with students, teachers, and parents/carers.
  • Strong organizational abilities and the capability to handle multiple tasks with changing priorities.
  • Patience and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
  • A relevant qualification or a willingness to undertake training.
