Early Years Assistant

About the Role
Mencap is seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Years Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing a stimulating, caring, and therapeutic play environment for children with significant developmental delay.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the provision of a programme of play, care, and education for 2-4 year olds with significant developmental delay.
- Work alongside the multi-disciplinary team, other professionals, and Family Support team to offer care and learning through play and incorporate therapy opportunities.
- Provide a stimulating environment that promotes the development and well-being of each child.
Requirements
- Childcare qualification at QCF Level 2 or equivalent in Child Care, Learning and Development, or Playwork.
- Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate activities.
- Minimum of 1 year working/lived experience with children aged 0-4 and their families.
