Design for Automation Expert

Job Description
Copello is seeking a Design for Automation Expert to join our team in designing and developing automation solutions for aerospace components and structures. The ideal candidate will have experience with robotic systems, PLC integration, and programming languages such as RAPID and C++.
Key Responsibilities
- Automation Solution Development: Develop and design automation solutions that improve efficiency, reduce errors, and enhance product quality in the production, test, and assembly of aerospace components and structures.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for automation within manufacturing processes and develop strategies to optimize them.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with automation systems and provide solutions for repair, reprogramming, or upgrading equipment.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, particularly regarding safety and quality control.
- NPI Support: Support the NPI team on design for automation, optimizing best methods of manufacturing.
- Inspection Strategy: Develop an inspection strategy for vision and sensor inspection technology.
- DFMA and Optimization: Apply DFMA, tolerance, design optimization, and value engineering principles.
Requirements
- Robotics Experience: 3+ years of experience with robot integration, external axes, and PLC programming.
- Programming Skills: Advanced programming skills in RAPID and C++.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving and creativity skills.
- Project Management: Ability to manage projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Robot Programming: Experience with robot programming languages like RAPID.
- Software Proficiency: Proficiency in Solidworks, TIA Portal, and Robot Studio.
- Simulation Experience: Experience with robot studio and automation simulation.
- PLC Certification: PLC programming certification.
- Six Sigma: Familiarity with Six Sigma methodologies.
Compensation
We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as benefits and opportunities for professional growth.
