Financial Controller

A leading business is seeking a highly skilled Group Financial Controller to join their finance team. This role will involve preparing, developing, and analyzing all financial information, as well as leading the preparation of statutory accounts.
Key Responsibilities:- Statutory Accounts: Prepare and deliver high-quality statutory accounts that meet regulatory requirements.
- Management Accounts: Own and deliver the Management Accounts and Finance Board Pack every period, providing variance analysis and commentary for any deviations to budget/forecast/last year.
- Financial Planning: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts, including identification of areas of risk and opportunity.
- Financial Controls: Develop and maintain financial controls around accounting systems and policies, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Financial Analysis: Prepare reconciliations and analysis to support monthly business reviews and balance sheet reviews.
- Financial Support: Provide a support service by working with all departments and the Management Team to help make financial decisions and provide ad hoc finance support.
- Qualifications: Qualified ACA or ACCA.
- Experience: Experienced in the production of statutory accounts using CCH or Sage.
- Skills: Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
- Personal Qualities: High level of self-motivation and drive, flexibility to work to tight timescales.
