We are seeking an experienced Income Officer to join our Customer Accounts team in Newbury, covering the Oxfordshire area for a fixed term of 12 months.
The Role:
As an Income Officer, you will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive rent and service charge collection service across the region. This will involve negotiating payment arrangements with customers, providing welfare benefit and money advice, and preparing applications for court.
Your Responsibilities:
- Deliver a high-quality rent and service charge collection service to customers across the region.
- Monitor customer accounts for all tenures and manage end-to-end processes.
- Engage with external agencies, including local authorities, as required.
- Manage evictions and other asset recovery processes.
Requirements:
- Knowledge and experience of social housing, home ownership, or the private rented sector.
- Excellent customer service skills and a working knowledge of welfare benefits.
- A self-starter with a proactive approach and the ability to work without close supervision.
- Effective decision-making skills, a diplomatic and confidential approach, and the ability to prioritize a busy workload.
