Job Title: Lead Transport Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Transport Manager to join our team at Wincanton. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading a team of transport professionals to ensure the safe and efficient movement of goods across our network.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the shift performance of the transport operation to consistently meet the requirements of our clients, in line with our agreed service strategy.
  • Ensure that all transport shift activities are carried out in accordance with our company and client procedures, and that budgetary/financial KPIs, and legislative/procedural and contractual commitments are met.
  • Be accountable for the Health and Safety practices on site, particularly within the immediate area of responsibility, e.g., transport shift operations.
  • Establish reporting integrity of transport activity and ensure that the transport operation's continuity is planned and tested in the event of emergency situations.
Requirements:
  • Team leader or management experience is desirable but not essential.
  • Knowledge of transport legislation is desirable but not essential.
  • Competent on Microsoft packages.
