Our client is a leading engineering company in the manufacturing industry, renowned for designing and manufacturing cutting-edge engineering equipment.
Role Overview:
As a Technical Sales Engineer, you will support Area Sales Managers by providing vital technical expertise and customer support throughout the sales process. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting Area Sales Managers in achieving sales targets.
- Visiting customers alongside Sales Managers to understand their needs and offer tailored solutions.
- Providing pre-sales technical support and guidance to clients.
- Preparing accurate quotations, proposals, and internal contract documentation.
- Collaborating with internal engineering and sales teams to deliver a seamless customer experience.
- Providing after-sales support and technical assistance when required.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Mechanical or electrical engineering qualification or relevant industry experience.
- Experience in technical sales or a similar role is highly desirable.
- A full UK driving license and passport are required for this position.
- Proficient in reading engineering layout drawings.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and consultative sales skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Results-oriented, with a flexible approach to work.
Benefits Package:
- Competitive base salary of £30,000 per annum.
- Pension contributions (5% employee, 4% employer) with a discretionary pension bonus of up to 11%.
- Life insurance (up to 4 times salary).
- 33 days holiday (including bank holidays), with additional days awarded for length of service.
Working Hours:
37 hours per week:
Monday – Thursday: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm (30-minute lunch break)
Friday: 8:00 am – 1:00 pm
