Philanthropy Manager

We are seeking an experienced Philanthropy Manager to join our vibrant and ambitious fundraising team at Guy's and St Thomas' Foundation. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in managing high-value relationships with trusts and foundations, raising significant income for our three hospitals, and contributing to our fundraising strategy.
Key Responsibilities:- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with trustees, influencers, and staff of grant-giving organizations, leading on complex, large-scale projects and solicitations.
- Fundraising Strategy: Develop and implement a fundraising strategy to achieve ambitious annual income targets, with opportunities to proactively lead on new initiatives, decision-making, and problem-solving.
- Proposal Writing: Write clear and compelling fundraising proposals to charitable trusts and foundations, showcasing the impact of our work and the potential for significant grants and donations.
- Stewardship: Ensure effective stewardship of trusts and foundation donors, including reports, letters, and other documents that may deal with complex, contentious, and sensitive situations.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues and the Head of Philanthropy to deliver our fundraising strategy, share knowledge, and best practices.
- Experience: Successful fundraising experience, including proposal writing, relationship management, and team collaboration.
- Skills: Excellent writing skills, ability to negotiate and communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences, and strong organizational and project management skills.
- Knowledge: Knowledge of Raiser's Edge or other similar fundraising databases, attention to detail, and willingness to learn and play a role in the development of the Trusts & Foundations Team.
