Job Summary:

LTF Recruitment Ltd is seeking a dedicated and patient Teaching Assistant to support a non-verbal child with complex Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a Primary school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one support to a child with complex ASD in Key Stage One
  • Assist with learning and development, behaviour management, and personal care
  • Work collaboratively with the school team to ensure the child's needs are met
  • Develop and implement strategies to support the child's educational and personal goals

Requirements:

  • Experience supporting children with complex needs, particularly ASD and Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)
  • Previous experience working in a school environment, preferably with a similar age group
  • Strong behaviour management techniques and experience with challenging behaviour
  • Teaching Assistant qualifications or a relevant degree
  • Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and parents
