Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Electronics Assembly Specialist to join our team at Curtiss-Wright's Defense Solution division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assembling, testing, and repairing complex electronic products to meet the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble electronic components to create final products using process instructions, drawings, and specialized tooling.
  • Test and repair products using test procedures, drawings, and specialized equipment to ensure they meet quality and customer requirements.
  • Evaluate customer returns to determine repair actions required to satisfy customer needs and product build standards.
  • Fault find products to sub-assembly level using drawings and basic test equipment, and may fault find to component level using circuit diagrams.
  • Stage inspections of products at required intervals to verify accuracy of work and may final inspect products to relevant dispatch processes.
  • Provide training and support to colleagues as required.
  • Comply with all health and safety requirements and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Perform routine minor maintenance and look for opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Support problem-solving in small groups.

Requirements:

  • Qualified to ONC Electronic Engineering (or equivalent) or time served engineering apprenticeship.
  • 4 years of relevant experience in electronic/pneumatics engineering and electrical/mechanical assembly techniques with a proven track record of competence.
  • A working knowledge of MRP systems and production control systems and advanced manufacturing techniques.
  • Computer literate with some working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
