Manufacturing Craftsman

DC Personnel is acting as an employment business in relation to this vacancy. Our client, a leading manufacturer of Conveyors and Mechanical equipment in Leicestershire, is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Craftsman to join their team from January onwards. This is a full-time position with the possibility of becoming permanent.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in fabrication and welding. They should be able to work from technical drawings, operate a saw and press brake, and report any issues to the supervisor. The ability to adapt to different work sheets and specs is essential for this role.

The salary for this position is estimated to be between £15.00-£18.00 per hour, depending on experience. Overtime is available at time and a half on Saturdays, and the expected working hours are 42 hours per week. The working days are Monday to Friday, with an early finish on Fridays.

The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating conveyor components, including steelwork, batch work, and other general duties such as Jig, saw cutting, and punching assembly of components. They should have extensive mechanical knowledge and skillset to consider for the higher rate.
