Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join their SEN department in Central Manchester. This full-time position will commence in September, providing a unique opportunity to make a significant contribution to the learning development of students with autism.
The ideal candidate will possess experience working with children with autism or a recent psychology graduate with a good understanding of special needs. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with students, reporting to the SENCO, and be responsible for managing challenging behavior and building relationships with pupils.
Key responsibilities include:
- Working on a 1:1 basis or in small groups to provide additional learning support
- Managing behavior that has the potential to be challenging
- Building relationships with pupils to support their learning development
- Being fully aware of safeguarding procedures and able to deal with any situations that may arise
This role offers a highly rewarding experience, with the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of students with autism. Teaching Personnel will provide ongoing support throughout your employment, and there may be opportunities for progression through further teacher training.
