Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to join our small but busy Design team. As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing new and existing products to support our business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Development and modification of existing products to suit new customers and new applications.
  • Working within the guidelines of Piolax Engineering Standards and Customer specifications.
  • Use of Catia to create and modify 3D models and 2D drawings for use within the business.
  • Feasibility studies of new ideas from customers and internal departments.
  • Visiting customers with the sales team to promote products and new business.
  • Investigation and benchmarking of competitor products.
  • Discussion and negotiations with customers.
  • Support internal departments in problem solving.
Requirements:
  • Engineering Degree or in a related subject.
  • The right to work in the UK.
  • High level capability in the use of 3D CAD design tools.
  • To be creative and contribute towards innovative designs.
  • Customer facing.
