Job Description:

The Supply Register is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work across their Primary Schools, supporting students with Special Educational Needs on a temporary cover basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist students with their physical, social, and emotional well-being
  • Keep records and attend review meetings as required
  • Adapt class work to suit individual student needs
  • Work collaboratively with other staff to provide outstanding support
  • Recognise signs of distress and offer reassurance
  • Build positive relationships with students and support their confidence
  • Work with students with varying SEN requirements

Requirements:

  • Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification or related qualification
  • Experience working with young people with SEN
  • Desirable: experience working with SEND students
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • High expectations of all students and staff
  • Demonstrate a commitment to Safeguarding
  • DBS registration or willingness to process and pay for a new one
