Key Responsibilities
  • Integrate New Data Sets and Sources

Utilize automation tools to seamlessly integrate new data sets and sources, ensuring a unified and accurate view of our business operations.

Develop Secure Data Marts

Design and implement secure data marts for end-user self-service reporting, empowering our teams to make data-driven decisions.

Recommend Change Projects

Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend change projects to enhance the data service, driving increased business value.

Ensure Data Solutions Meet Security Requirements

Develop data solutions that incorporate information security requirements, including GDPR compliance, to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our data.

Design and Deliver Data Verification/Validation

Develop and implement data verification/validation processes to ensure data accuracy and quality, supporting informed decision-making.

Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Developments

Maintain awareness of the latest business intelligence and reporting tools and technologies, particularly those related to the Microsoft Fabric product set, to drive innovation and improvement.

Support the Head of Department

Collaborate with the Head of Department to deliver the Information Services strategy, providing expertise and guidance to ensure successful project outcomes.

Requirements
  • Deep Data Skills

Proven expertise in data engineering, including SQL server, T-SQL, SSRS, and data warehouse and ETL technologies.

Business Acumen

Strong understanding of business operations and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Soft Skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop relationships with key stakeholders at all levels.

Agile Project Management

Experience with agile project management concepts and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Information Security

Knowledge of information security principles and practices, including GDPR compliance.
