Are you passionate about early childhood education and have a nurturing nature? We are seeking a Supply Nursery Assistant to provide high-quality care and education to children in day nurseries across Newcastle.

This role involves supporting the day-to-day activities of various nurseries, ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of all children in your care. You will be responsible for fostering positive relationships with children, parents, and nursery staff, while also supporting the individual needs of children, including those with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning and implementation of activities that support the development of children.
  • Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children in your care.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and nursery staff.
  • Support the individual needs of children, including those with special educational needs.
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating learning environment.
  • Follow nursery policies and procedures, including safeguarding and health and safety guidelines.

Requirements:

  • A genuine passion for working with young children.
  • Previous experience in a nursery or early years setting is desirable.
  • A relevant childcare qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3) is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Adaptability and the ability to work in different nursery environments.
  • A commitment to the welfare and development of children.
  • An up-to-date DBS check or willingness to obtain one through Protocol Education.
