Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our expanding Real Estate team in Edinburgh. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for leading project management commissions, ensuring end-to-end service delivery, and acting as the primary client interface.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead project management commissions, taking ownership of end-to-end service delivery and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Act as the key client interface, ensuring client objectives are met and projects are delivered to the agreed-upon specifications.
  • Manage project scope, including advising on strategic approaches, establishing success criteria, and planning for quality, safety, health, and environmental issues.
  • Establish effective project governance, processes, and systems to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Monitor and apply performance management techniques, including the use of KPIs, to improve project performance.
  • Manage change control processes, project finances, and the flow of project information between the team and the client.
  • Ensure the production of formal project progress reports and other relevant documentation.

Marketing and Business Development

  • Develop new business opportunities with existing and new Turner & Townsend clients.
  • Identify and act upon cross-selling opportunities.
  • Work with Associate Directors and Directors to construct bids for new work.
  • Attend formal client pitches with Assistant Directors and Directors.

Internal Management Accountabilities

  • Staff management, including inputting into the formal management of an Assistant Project Manager or small project management team.
  • Knowledge management, ensuring key information and learning generated from each project is input into the Turner & Townsend internal database.
  • Financial management, ensuring prompt client invoicing and utilizing FMS to monitor project financial status.
  • Process improvement, identifying and acting upon ways to improve internal systems and processes.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree qualified in a relevant discipline.
  • Proven experience managing Real Estate projects, ideally in a consultancy environment.
