Forensic Psychiatrist Position

Central & North West London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled Forensic Psychiatrist to join our team in HMP Highdown. As a Consultant, you will provide clinical leadership to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care to the residents of this facility.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist with experience in forensic psychiatry to take on a challenging role. You will be responsible for developing your own specialist interests and contributing to the maintenance and development of Health & Justice services within the Trust.

• To provide clinical leadership and ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care to the residents of HMP Highdown.
• To develop your own specialist interests and contribute to the maintenance and development of Health & Justice services within the Trust.
• To teach and train specialist nurses, other nurses, and prison staff where appropriate.

We are looking for a Consultant Psychiatrist with excellent knowledge in forensic psychiatry and strong clinical skills. The ideal candidate will have experience in clinical leadership and management, as well as a track record of improving quality in a service.

• Able to manage clinical complexity and uncertainty.
• Makes decisions based on evidence and experience including the contribution of others.
• Able to meet duties under MHA and MCA.

The salary for this position is estimated to be around £93,000 - £103,000 per annum, depending on experience.
