At Babcock International, we are seeking a talented Electrical Engineering Specialist to join our team in Cumbria.

We offer a 4-year Electrical, Control and Instrumentation Craftsperson Apprenticeship programme that combines technical mastery with creative problem-solving.

This role will provide you with the opportunity to work on equipment sent to our Monitor Round Team, carrying out second-line maintenance and repairs down to component level on essential Sellafield radiological protection equipment.

You will have the chance to work alongside both the Workshop Team and the Monitor Round Team, learning from their expertise and gaining practical experience to become a fully qualified EC&I Craftsperson by the end of year 4.

During your apprenticeship, you will receive both practical and theoretical training in addition to on-site training at Sellafield. You will work towards a Level 3 Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician (MOET) Apprenticeship standard at Lakes College.

To be successful in this role, you will need a genuine interest in engineering and the operational functions of nuclear energy. You must also meet certain security clearance requirements.

As an electrical engineering specialist, you will earn a competitive salary of £16,855 per annum, rising annually to £34,697 post-apprenticeship. You will also enjoy benefits such as minimum 28 days holiday allowance, a competitive pension scheme, and flexible benefits including cycle to work scheme and employee shopping savings portal.
