Fire Safety Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fire Safety Manager to join our Estates and Facilities Team at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the Trust's compliance with fire safety regulations and legislation.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in fire safety management, with experience of working in a complex and multi-site environment. You will be responsible for leading the Fire Safety Team, developing and maintaining efficient processes and systems for fire risk management, and ensuring that the Trust meets its statutory obligations relating to fire safety.
Main Responsibilities- Lead the Fire Safety Team and ensure Trust-wide compliance with fire safety regulations and legislation.
- Develop and maintain efficient processes and systems for fire risk management.
- Assist the Director of Estates and Facilities Management and the Chief Financial Officer in ensuring that the Trust meets its statutory obligations relating to fire safety.
- Provide assurance that the Trust is meeting statutory and regulatory requirements relating to fire safety.
- Ensure that appropriate policies, procedures, systems, and arrangements are in place to support fire safety.
- Master's degree level or equivalent knowledge and experience in fire safety management.
- Fire training college course(s) for fire safety management certification or equivalent.
- Experience of working with HTM 'Firecode' and fire safety regulations.
- Extensive experience in providing technical direction with regard to fire safety management.
- Experience of managing and ensuring building compliance according to fire safety regulations.
- Membership of a professional organization for fire safety management.
- Experience of fire safety project management and provision of advice to project management teams.
- Knowledge and experience of fire safety quality management systems.
