Disability Support Worker Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team at the Stephen Wiltshire Centre. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with children with disabilities and complex needs, and be passionate about ensuring they achieve their full potential.

In this role, you will deliver high-quality Short Breaks for children aged 8-18, providing a safe and supportive environment that meets their unique needs. You will work closely with families, carers, and other professionals to develop personalized plans that promote independence, confidence, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Short Breaks to children with disabilities and complex needs
  • Develop and implement personalized plans in collaboration with families and carers
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to children and their families
  • Maintain accurate records and reports as required

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with disabilities and complex needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Certification in areas such as first aid, health and safety, and child protection
