About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Highway Design Engineer to join our team at Lancashire County Council. As a key member of our Major Transport Infrastructure Delivery Team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of transport in Lancashire.

As a Transport Infrastructure Specialist, you will be responsible for designing and delivering major highway infrastructure and active travel improvements across the county. You will work closely with other engineers, transport, spatial and environmental planners to ensure that our projects are delivered on time and within budget.

About You:

We are looking for individuals with a passion for highway design and a strong background in civil engineering. You will have a relevant qualification or substantial vocational experience in highway design or similar, and be proficient in the use of AutoCAD.

You will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of disciplines and external organisations. You will also be required to provide a car for use in connection with the duties of this post and must be insured for business use.
