Early Years Teacher Opportunity in a Thriving Southwark School

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate EYFS Teacher to join our team at a vibrant primary school in Southwark. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality early years education and will be committed to providing a rich and varied curriculum for our students.
The ideal candidate will have excellent knowledge of the National Curriculum and assessment methods, as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills. They will be able to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of individual learners and will be dedicated to ongoing professional development.
The school is an Outstanding school with a Good Ofsted rating, located in the heart of Southwark. It is a two-form entry school with a diverse student body and a strong focus on academic achievement. The EYFS Teacher will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering lessons that cater to the diverse needs of EYFS students. They will implement appropriate teaching strategies to engage and inspire students, assess and monitor student progress, and provide regular feedback and targets for improvement.
The successful candidate will be a team player who is able to collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum materials and share best practices. They will also be able to maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respectful behavior and positive relationships.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning, preparing, and delivering lessons that cater to the diverse needs of EYFS students
- Implementing appropriate teaching strategies to engage and inspire students
- Assessing and monitoring student progress, providing regular feedback and targets for improvement
- Collaborating with colleagues to develop curriculum materials and share best practices
- Maintaining a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respectful behavior and positive relationships
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Proven experience teaching EYFS students in a primary school setting
- Excellent knowledge of the National Curriculum and assessment methods
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of individual learners
- Dedication to ongoing professional development and a commitment to staying up to date with the latest educational practices
