About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Data Centre Operations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our data centres. This includes carrying out technical maintenance, repairs, and installations, as well as providing first and second-line support to meet customer SLAs.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor buildings, environmental conditions, and relevant systems to identify potential issues.
- Carry out routine preventative maintenance to ensure maximum performance and PUE.
- Oversee contractor work, ensuring they follow health and safety procedures and document results.
- Develop and implement processes to improve data centre efficiency and reduce downtime.
Requirements
- Proven engineering experience of air conditioning, UPS, generators, and LV systems.
- Experience of working as a technician in an electrical or industrial environment.
- Strong technical fault-finding skills using graphical information and alarm data.
- A thorough, accurate approach to completing tasks.
- Good communication skills in English, including report writing.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- A can-do attitude, with the drive to take on new responsibilities.
- Vocational education in a technical field.
